Recycled polyester
By using recycled polyester, no new oil-based resources are used. The waste is recycled into resources that can be used again.
FLEECE COMPONENT: INSULATION THANKS TO THE AIR
The mission of the fleece component is to trap air thanks to the volume created by its texture (and the brushing of the knit). This air acts as a natural insulator, keeping the body warm. This component has been laboratory-tested for a comfort temperature from 7 to 10°C without any additional jacket.
DOPE-DYEING
Bulk dyeing or “dope dyeing” incorporates the pigments during the thread manufacture. This technique reduces the environmental impact compared to standard dyeing which takes place once the thread forms a fabric. This requires more water consumption and pollution. Our black MH520 fleece models use this dyeing process and we are in the process of duplicating it for the other colours
WHERE DO OUR FLEECES COME FROM?
Created in our international design centre at the foot of the Mont Blanc in France, this fleece is then manufactured and assembled by our suppliers in China and Vietnam.These are partners that have genuine expertise in making our fleeces and with whom we are in close collaboration.Thanks to this relationship of trust with our industrial partners, we can create high-quality technical products.
What is the water-repellent property of the component?
This fleece has a water-repellent treatment (upper chest, hood and shoulders) that lets the water slide off the fabric’s surface. Please note, this does not mean it is waterproof.The water-repellent property prevents the fleece from getting wet too fast but will not keep you dry under steady rain.For this, we recommend you add a waterproof jacket.The water-repellency can be reactivated in the tumble dryer for 10 minutes at a low temperature.
