Description

The AQSS Eco-Tech Mahi Mahi is a sleek, strong and super stable Mini Mal, that features a full Paulownia wrap.

Paulownia is a step forward for board construction, offering unparalleled board building qualities. This special timber is known for its high strength to weight ratio, dimensional stability, hardness, durability & fast regeneration. This is one of the lightest timbers on earth, roughly 40% lighter than many others but has an iconic quality for keeping it’s shape. Paulownia is often referred to as ‘The Tree of the Future’ as one tree can regenerate several times over. This added technology will enhance your ocean-going experiences by providing you with a board that is optimised to endure whilst being an eco-friendly solution.

Designed with performance and progression in mind, the Mahi Mahi features an EPS foam core for maximum buoyancy which increases paddle power and reduces its overall weight. This combined this with a forgiving and timeless outline of its Mini-Mal shape ideal for surfers of all skill levels.

The Mahi Mahi is ideal for all skill levels due to its increased width across the chest which increases stability when paddling and popping up. This combined with its rounded square tail and its forgiving rail shape greatly improves manoeuvrability due to the hard edge through the tail, regardless of the surfers skill level as this increases engagement and hold through manoeuvres along with the addition of a conventional thruster setup this board is extremely versatile in a variety of wave conditions.

The Mahi Mahi is laminated using vacuum technology, which leaves you with a modern visually appealing timber finish, but also reduces the amount of weight within the board due to the lamination process leaves you with less resin soaking into the foam.

The combination of a lightweight EPS core and Paulownia wood, creates an extremely lightweight, durable surfboard with all of the performance characteristics of our other Mahi Mahi although this one has a superior construction.

The bottom contours of the Mahi Mahi feature a single concave into a double through to the tail creating liveliness and response when ridden from the tail while opening the door for the ability to nose ride for advanced riders.

These boards offer great specifications and sensational value

Best suited for Beginners who want a forgiving and stable starter board and the Advanced rider looking for a small wave versatile alternative to catch waves with ease.

Please be aware that complimentary fins are not included with this board
