Our hiker-designers developed this MH100 waterproof rain jacket to protect your child when it is rainy and windy in the mountains!
WATERPROOF COMPONENT
This garment has been tested in a 60L water sqm hour shower for 2 hours. This test replicates the average conditions of a rain shower in the mountains.A component with a waterproof rating of 2,000 mm is able to resist the pressure exerted by 2,000 mm of water (roughly equivalent to a 2 hour rain shower). Waterproofing is expressed in Schmerbers (for example: 2 000 schmerbers).
COMPONENT BREATHABILITY
To assess the breathability of the fabric, the evaporative resistance, RET (test based on the ISO 11092 standard), is measured. The lower the fabric s resistance, the more water vapour generated by physical activity evaporates, and the higher the fabric s breathability. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric 920 = little or no breathability.
