This space is for organising and storing your bivouac equipment. 2 pockets in the room, 1 hook on the top inside to hang a lamp. For more comfort, use two mummy-shaped mattresses.

Architecture, tent poles and tent pegs

Lightweight shatterproof and frost-proof aluminium tent poles: 7001 Ø 8.5 mm.Tent pegs stakes:Length 17 cm, Ø 6.1 mm.Non-anodised 7075 aluminium for maximum strength and lightness while lowering the environmental impact.Traditional dome shape to make the structure free-standing. A front tent pole with a peak provides additional volume and therefore a more habitable porch.

Pitching striking

Extremely quick pitching striking. The flysheet and bedroom are pre-assembled. Insert the tent poles into the flysheet cover. It is also quick to strike. To store the tent in its bag, fold the tent in half to about the length of the bag, fold up the poles into a bundle onto the bedroom or flysheet, roll everything up tightly to slide into the bag.

Waterproofing

The Forclaz tents are tested fully pitched in the laboratory: 200 L sqm h for 4 hours, ie equivalent to a tropical rain shower. They are also tested in the field by a sample user group.75-denier PES polyester flysheet and groundsheet, polyurethane coating on the inside, water repellent treatment on the outside.Seams taped with heat-sealed strips.Multi-component & water repellent 75D polyester bedroom that is breathable, provides protection from the wind and reduces condensation.

Wind resistance

We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a turntable where we can expose each side of the tent to the wind.To test its wind resistance, the tent must be properly pitched, taut but not stretched, with all the guy ropes in position around the tent. It should remain habitable at wind speeds of 60km h, measured near ground level. Our tents are certified by the CSTB independent laboratory in Nantes.

Ventilation and condensation prevention

Bedroom with mosquito screen for ventilation and water-repellent fabric to protect from condensation and draughts. There is an air vent at the back of the tent.To reduce condensation inside the tent, it must be correctly assembled with a taut canvas, but not excessively so. The use of the air vent and good air circulation reduces moisture inside.

Seasons

3-season tent: your tent will protect you from the harsh weather conditions you can encounter in the spring, summer or autumn. It will withstand light snowfall but is not designed to withstand heavy loads that would weigh on the structure. In case of snow, remember to shake your tent regularly in order to bring down any snow that has accumulated to avoid putting too much weight on the structure of your tent.

Eco-designed tent

We have decided to use biton thread for this tent s bedroom fabric (one out of every two threads is dyed to reduce the impact).Textile dyeing requires a lot of water but also produces waste water from the dye baths. To reduce this impact on the environment, we use only one mass-dyed yarn out of every two and thereby reduce our consumption and our impact on water.

Tent eco-design (continued)

The tent pegs are not anodised. We have stopped using nitric and phosphoric acids to fix the colour because its only function is to make them look aesthetically pleasing.Your tent pegs can have an untreated or used appearance but they retain all their technical characteristics and strength. The fabric of the room is bulk dyed, which reduces water consumption and CO² emissions. These actions help to reduce the environmental impact of your product.

Durability

Your tent is designed for itinerant bivouacking, it is therefore not designed for static use in the sun.We recommend that you avoid leaving it in the sun as the ultra-light fabrics can be sensitive to UV light, that damages them.

With its classic dome structure it offers a simple and practical living space. The additional front tent pole creates a porch that can accommodate 2 bags of about 50 L. 2 pockets.
