Our team of campers designed the Arpenaz Base M living room for up to six campers looking to extend their sheltered area and protect from bad weather & insects.
OUR COMMITMENT TO CONSUME LESS WATER WITH THIS PRODUCT
We ve improved this product through an eco-design procedure for the colouring processes for materials, using the dope-dyed technique.Textile dyeing requires a lot of water but also produces waste water from the dye baths. To reduce our environmental impact, we use a mass pigmentation process that involves adding the colour pigments when the yarn itself is produced. We used this process for this product (reference: 8648391).
Living room
Square living room with an area of 6.25 sqm and a maximum height of 2.15 m.Door height: 1.70 m.
Pitching and dismantling
Traditional pitching and dismantling with poles. Follow the instructions stitched into the product’s cover.We recommend that 2 people pitch the tent.
Sun protection
The flysheet fabric has UPF 30 sun protection.Caution: be careful, as a large amount of UV rays can get in through a simple open door.
Ventilation
Three sides have an opening for better air flow. Each of the openings has a mosquito net to prevent insects from getting inside.
Wind resistance
We test all our living rooms in a wind tunnel on a turntable. The goal is to expose each side of our living room to the same wind intensity.Properly pitched, with the guy ropes deployed, this living room remains habitable in wind speed 6, measured at 50 km h.
Waterproof and taped seams
We test our living rooms to validate their waterproofing. The first test is done in the laboratory under 200 L m² h of water for 3 hours, which is equivalent to a tropical shower of 200 mm per hour. The second test is done in the field under real-life conditions by our teams. This living room is fitted with a polyurethane-coated polyester flysheet measuring 2,000 mm. It also has seams that have been waterproofed with heat-sealed strips, and a 140 g sqm polyethylene groundsheet.
Poles and tent pegs
Poles – All our poles are made from fibreglass and undergo double quality checks. This guarantees some of the best resistance against breakage.Tent pegs – All our pegs are made of steel and have a diameter of 6 mm.
Maintenance advice
Our camping living rooms have been designed for occasional outdoor use (4 weeks per year) when camping or in the great outdoors. Continued exposure to UV rays over several weeks can damage the fabric. These products are not classified as “garden furniture” and aren’t designed to be left outdoors permanently. To guarantee maximum durability for your camping living room, it s important to store it when not in use.
With this you can create a living room with poles that’s easy to set up and ideal for a large main living area. Its free-standing structure means it can be moved very easily to suit you.
