Our camper-designers designed this Arpenaz 0XLFreshCompact 2-p shelter to provide insulation from the ground and protection from the sun, rain, light winds.
Sun protection
The fabric main of the outer fabric has a UPF 50+ sun protection rating.The coloured inner fabric, as well as the door, has a UPF index of 25. Caution: be careful, depending on the mode of use, some UV light passes directly or indirectly through the openings of the shelter. We recommend you protect your skin.
OUR ENVIRONMENTAL APPROACH
Our commitment to using less water with this productTextile dyeing requires a lot of water and also produces waste water from the dye baths. To reduce our environmental impact, we use a mass pigmentation process that involves adding the colour pigments when the yarn itself is produced.The zipper is made from recycled material.
Capacity
Sizes: Max. height: 1.20 m | Width: 2.12 metres at the widest (door) and 1 metre at the back.This shelter has a zipped door which has several functions:- partially or fully closed, for protecting your belongings from the sun, wind, dust, sand as well as the rain. It can be used as a changing room.- when open, it can be used as a groundsheet and increases the available space.
Wind resistance
This shelter remains habitable in wind speeds of up to 40 km h (force 5) when properly pitched with 4 tent pegs in the ground.Tip: if you can’t plant the pegs very well then fill the external pockets with stones sand or similar. This allows you to weigh down the shelter.We test all our shelters in a wind tunnel on a turntable. The purpose is to expose each side of the shelter to the same wind speed.
Reduces heat
The shelter roof has Fresh fabric; this is where the sun s rays are strongest. This exclusive and innovative concept reduces heat, thanks to 3 combined technologies: white polyester and titanium dioxide (TIO²) to reflect the sun s rays & aluminium for heat insulation.To avoid feeling hot, in addition to the Fresh fabric, we recommend you ventilate the shelter by opening the door and the large rear ventilation flap.
Our motivation? We want to offer you a spacious shelter with a door. Our Fresh technology lets you reduce interior heat. Fits easily in a backpack.
