Description
We developed these very warm and waterproof snowboard salopettes with all the features you need for regular to intensive use.
Warmth… enhanced at the seat: Warmseat
From the waistband of the trousers to the middle of the thigh, we added wadding with 54% more thermal insulation than standard wadding. The idea is simple: when snowboarding, you ll still find yourself sitting in the snow quite often. Given the time spent sitting down, we decided to increase the thermal insulation. And it s also very pleasant on the chairlifts.
Waterproofing
In addition to the waterproof fabric, we reinforce the waterproofing of the children s Decathlon salopettes with taped seams. These are heat-bonded waterproof strips placed on the seams inside the clothing to make it perfectly watertight. This product has 100% taped seams.
Why are my children s snowboarding salopettes or trousers water-repellent?
The water-repellent feature makes water run off the fabric without seeping in thanks to a treatment applied to its outer surface. The fabric does not soak up water and stays light and warm. This treatment must be renewed during the life of the product, after 2 to 3 washes on average, using products available in our stores. All the waterproof jackets that we design for snowboarders are water repellent.
PULL N FIT ZIP CONCEPT
Thanks to the PULL N FIT concept, adjustments to the leg length of the ski pants are made easy and precise. Your trousers will never be too short or too long with the PULL N FIT system! Simply pull up the zips to shorten them!
Kneepad
To withstand bad weather (rain, snow, wind, etc.), the trousers have been developed with a component and assembly that keep the water out and reduce wind chill. To validate the waterproofing, the product was placed under a specially designed shower that reproduces the conditions encountered by snowboarders in the field. Finally, we have spent a few days snowboarding, in all conditions, to validate the waterproofing of the product.

The idea of the salopettes is to prevent snow from getting to your back. Ultra efficient!But snow can also get inside at the hems. However, this is where we added gaiters.What s more, given that they are mainly for snowboarding, the gaiters have an opening so that you can reach the tightening knob of snowboard boots. Consequently, you don t have to put the gaiters back on when tightening your boots.

We took advantage of the salopettes to add a pocket at the chest. This is very practical and highly appreciated during the tests conducted by kids.
Bathroom zip
For the girls salopettes, there is a 300° zipped opening at the waist. Using this system, girls can go to the bathroom in the resort without having to remove the jacket or the top of the salopettes.
Compatible with a back protector
These snowboard salopettes are designed to take a back protector under the salopettes. Ideally, what worked well in all of the tests:_ layer 1: thermal ski or snowboard underwear,_ layer 2: fleece or another warm layer,_back protector,_salopettes,_children s snowboarding (or skiing) jacket
Option to write the kid s name on the salopettes
If necessary, you can write the name of your kid on the salopettes.
Reinforcements at the knees and seat
All of the material used in these snowboard salopettes is resistant to abrasion and tearing, but the seat and knees have an even more durable material. It s for snowboarding, which involves a few more falls than when skiing (and we like that), and these salopettes are designed to withstand everything.
How do you look after this product?
To optimise the performance and durability of your product, we recommend: Machine wash separately at 30°C. Synthetic cycle. No softener.Given the thickness of the salopettes, they should be dried the right way round. Don t hesitate to turn them inside out to also dry the inside thoroughly.Do not dry clean. Do not place on a radiator.You can restore the water resistance of the outer fabric using a fabric waterproofing spray.
