We developed these extremely warm and waterproof snowboard salopettes that bring together the ideal features for regular to intensive activity.
Enhanced warmth on the buttocks with warmseat
From the waistband of the trousers to the middle of the thigh, we added wadding with 54% more thermal insulation than standard wadding. The idea is simple: when snowboarding, big or small, we are often seated on the buttocks. Given the time spent sitting down, we decided to increase the thermal insulation. And it s also very pleasant on the chairlifts.
Waterproofing
As well as the waterproof fabric, we enhance the waterproofing of the kids’ snowboard salopettes with taped seams. These are heat-bonded waterproof strips placed on the seams inside the clothing to make it perfectly watertight. This product has 100% taped seams.
Why are my children s snowboarding salopettes or trousers water-repellent?
The water-repellent feature makes water run off the fabric without seeping in thanks to a treatment applied to its outer surface. The fabric does not soak up water and stays light and warm. This treatment must be renewed during the life of the product, after 2 to 3 washes on average, using products available in our stores. All the waterproof jackets that we design for snowboarders are water repellent.
PULL N FIT ZIP CONCEPT
The PULL N FIT concept makes it easy to adjust the leg length of the ski trousers with precision. With PULL N FIT, say goodbye to trousers that are too short or too long! Simply pull up the zips to shorten them!
Kneepad
The knee pad is comfort foam on the knees. The idea is simple, when snowboarding we can be waiting, relaxing… on our knees. This foam is there to insulate from the cold and be soft.It is removable, to_ either wash the salopettes,_ or put on knee protectors underneath the salopettes as it would be too thick.
stops snow from getting inside
There is no chance of snow getting in through the back with the salopettes. Ultra efficient!However, it can get in around the ankle. However, this is where we added gaiters. As they are mainly snowboard salopettes, the gaiters have access to the adjustment wheel on snowboard boot so you don’t have take off the gaiters to adjust the boot tightness.
chest pocket
We have made the most of the salopettes shape to add a zipped chest pocket that is extremely practical and appreciated by kids during testing.
Bathroom zip
For the boys salopettes, we added a big central zip for getting them on off easily.But naturally, there is a double cursor for going to the bathroom by simply raising the lower cursor without having to completely lower the upper cursor.
Compatible with a back protector
These snowboard salopettes are designed to take a back protector under the salopettes.Ideally, what worked well in all of the tests:_ layer 1: thermal ski or snowboard underwear,_ layer 2: fleece or other warm layer,_ back,_ salopettes,_ jacket.
Option to write the kid s name on the salopettes
If necessary, you can write the name of your kid on the salopettes.
Reinforcements at the knees and seat
All of the material used in these snowboard salopettes is resistant to abrasion and tearing, but the seat and knees have an even more durable material. It s for snowboarding, which involves a few more falls than when skiing (and we like that), and these salopettes are designed to withstand everything.
Can I be sure my trousers will give me proper protection in bad weather?
For kids to withstand bad weather (rain, snow, wind, etc.), the trousers have been developed with a component and assembly that keep the water out and reduce wind chill. To validate the waterproofing, the product was placed under a specially designed shower that reproduces the conditions encountered by snowboarders in the field. Finally, we have spent a few days snowboarding, in all conditions, to validate the waterproofing of the product.
How to wash the salopettes?
To optimise the performance and durability of the salopettes, we recommend:* Machine wash at 30°, synthetic programme.* Turn the product inside out.* Add a small amount of detergent. No softener.* We recommend you wring it by hand.* Dry on a hanger in a warm, well-ventilated place.Do not dry clean. Do not place on a radiator.You can restore the water resistance of the outer fabric using a fabric waterproofing spray. Read the care label.
How do you look after this product?
